Expression beyond words
Images, colours, shapes and materials can communicate experiences that may be difficult to describe directly.

Mona Arte · What is art therapy
Art therapy brings creative expression and therapeutic reflection together. The artwork is not the goal — it becomes part of a conversation with experience. Art therapy is a supportive method and does not replace medical, psychological or psychiatric care.

Images, colours, shapes and materials can communicate experiences that may be difficult to describe directly.
The purpose is not to learn how to draw or produce an aesthetically successful artwork.
The person creating the image remains the most important source of its meaning. There is no universal dictionary of symbols.
The artwork can provide something concrete to notice, explore and talk about together within the therapeutic process.
01 · Stress relief
Creative work gives emotions another language. Colour, shape, texture and movement can help express experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
